This joint national conference between the Australian Fertiliser Service Association (AFSA) Victorian branch and Fertilizer Australia will provide high quality presentations, time for meeting and networking and time for fun and fellowship.

The conference program will provide summaries of:

  • Fertiliser market and economic outlooks
  • Fertiliser and application technology
  • Making sense of the science behind weather and seasonal forecasts
  • Business & succession planning
  • Soil & Plant Technology

Come and join around 150 Delegates which will include CEO’s, Senior Managers and leading technical and logistics staff as well as owners and operators of fertiliser spreading and services businesses and agronomists who provide plant nutrition advice to farmers for this major event for the fertiliser industry in 2017.

The conference commences with a welcome reception and buffet dinner on Wednesday 13 September at 18:30.

Registration

Public and Member registrations include all conference sessions, Welcome reception and buffet dinner Wednesday night, lunch on Wednesday and Thursday and the conference dinner on Thursday night.

Partner registration includes welcome reception and buffet dinner on Wednesday night plus conference dinner on Thursday night. A partner tour is available on Thursday at a cost of $50 which will include a leisurely bus trip of the local sites and lunch and wine tasting at Oakden winery (lunch and wine tasting not included in the price)

You can pay online at the time of registration or opt to receive an invoice which will be due for payment in 14 days.

Cancellations prior to July 7 will receive a refund, less an administration fee of $100 per registration. There is no refund for cancellation after July 7, however the registration can be transferred.

Industry Meetings

AFSA

The Australian Fertilizer Services Association will hold its AGM at 15:30 on Wednesday 13 September followed by a member forum. All AFSA members are welcome to attend.

A board meeting will be held earlier in the day and is restricted to Directors of the AFSA.

Fertilizer Australia

The Fertilizer Australia AGM will be held at 17:00 on Wednesday 13 September. All Fertilizer Australia members are welcome to attend.

A board meeting will be held earlier in the day and is restricted to Directors of Fertilizer Australia.

The industry tour will include a visit to the Nutrient Advantage soil lab in Werribee, a vegetable growing business whose operation covers from seed to supermarket shelf and an inspection of the Melbourne Water Sewage Farm. The cost will be $35  plus you will need to purchase your own lunch on the day. This is an extra cost and is not included in the registration fee. The industry tour can be booked when you register for the conference.

 

Those delegates who are driving to the east of Torquay after the industry tour will have the option of parking their car at Avalon Airport(parking fees apply) prior to the industry tour as the bus will pick up from Avalon Airport at 9:15 on the way to the first site visit and return to Avalon Airport by 15:30 on the way back to the resort.

Delegates going on the industry tour and flying out of Avalon Airport will be able to take their luggage on the bus on Friday morning and get off at Avalon Airport. Delegates flying out of Melbourne Airport will be able to catch the Gull Bus from Geelong which takes you directly to Melbourne Airport. There is a 5pm Gull Bus which would get you to Melbourne airport about 6.30pm.

Flying out on Friday

             Delegates flying out of Avalon Airport can take the Conference Industry Tour bus which will depart RACV Torquay Resort at 8:30, arriving at Avalon Airport at 9:20. Cost is $20 per person.

             Delegates flying out of Melbourne Airport can take the Conference Industry Tour bus departing RACV Torquay Resort at 8:30, arriving at the Geelong Gull Bus terminal at 8:55. Cost is $15 per person. A separate booking can be made on the Gull Bus departing Geelong at 9:30 arriving Melbourne Airport at 10:45.  

             Delegates going on the Industry Tour and flying out of Avalon Airport on Friday afternoon will be able to take their luggage on the bus on Friday morning and get off at Avalon Airport after the last site visit around 15.30. The Industry Tour fee of $35 includes this service.

             Delegates flying out of Melbourne Airport can be dropped at the Gull Bus terminal at 15.55 and catch the 5pm bus directly to Melbourne airport. This bus will arrive at Melbourne airport about 6.30pm. For more information  Click Here
